A Letter From Yianni at King Gyros:

First of all, I want to thank everyone for their patronage!

I try to hire responsible and intelligent employees to train and create a team that can perform for my daily business demands. When the earthquake took place in Haiti everyone was watching them daily on TV with sadness. We always discuss things at work and everyone thought each one of us can contribute something small for the people of Haiti.

Well, some employees do look up to me for some answers so that got me thinking of what is in our power as a restaurant, which as a business we can direct our friends and customers to help us to create something like what we did, Gyros for Haiti.
All employees were willing to volunteer and I was willing to take care of  the food and utility bill to make it happen, and that is what we did! We passed out fliers to most schools, some business,  told our regular customers and everyone that would visit our location the last two weeks before this event and we posted it on our Facebook page, our Twitter account and sent out an E-Mail to our all of our members. We encourage any business to do the same, open a day that they are usually closed, like we did, and give a little because it means so much to the Haitian people. Also the charity we picked was one that was founded thru local residents of Whitehall Bob and Gretchen DeVoe and they have been helping Haiti way before this disaster ever happened.
Thank you for your interest, anyone has any questions feel free to call me at 614-866-9008
There was also an ad in the SNP that ran on Thursday the 25th and here is the link:
